Piano
Piano 1
In Piano 1, we will learn about basic posture, hand position, keyboard geography and the musical alphabet. You will learn how to read both treble and bass clef as well as simple rhythms. You will learn many different songs including “Ode to Joy,” “Frere Jacques,” and Jingle Bells,” You’ll be able to play these with both hands.
Piano 2
In Piano 2, we will extend our chord study and our understanding of music theory. You will continue building your repertoire and learn more new songs including “Simple Gifts,” “When The Saint’s Go Marching in,” “Yankee Doodle,” as well as many more.
Piano 3
In Piano 3 we will expand on our piano technique with technical exercises designed to help develop hand and finger coordination. Through this you’ll develop ease and control through at the keyboard. We’ll learn more songs such as, “Hush Little Baby,” “Lightly Row,” “The Caisson Song,” as well as many more.
Piano 4
In Piano 4 we will learn the 12 bar blues and the boogie baseline. We’ll learn to play the “Blue Danube Waltz,” “Scaling The Rockies,” “Hallelujah Chorus,” as well as many more.
